Caroline's path as a mental health advocate is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. She has faced the challenges of living with several severe mental illnesses. She is also a survivor of a suicide attempt.
Through her darkest moments, she discovered her true purpose: to use her experiences to break down stigma, raise awareness, and offer hope to those who may be navigating similar struggles. This led her to found a charitable organization called Minds Over Matter NC, dedicated to mental health advocacy and suicide prevention.
By sharing her story and dedicating herself to mental health advocacy, Caroline hopes to create a space where open and honest conversations about mental health can thrive. It is her belief that vulnerability is a strength, and through understanding, empathy, and community, we can dismantle the barriers that prevent individuals from seeking and receiving help.
Caroline is certified in Mental Health First Aid and has received training on limiting access to lethal means.
